Who we are
SitRep is run by Jooris IT CommV, a company registered in Belgium under enterprise number BE 1040.211.568, with its registered office at Populierenlaan 32, 9230 Wetteren, Belgium. Contact: robinjooris@hotmail.com. These terms apply when you use the SitRep app or website.
Who can use SitRep
You must be 18 or older to make an account. People under 18 can only use SitRep as a member of a family plan, added by an adult who holds the plan. That adult accepts these terms for them and is responsible for how they use SitRep. Family plans never show ads.
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
Training advice is not veterinary advice
SitRep helps you train your dog, but it does not replace a vet or a qualified behaviourist. Stop a session and get help if your dog shows pain, fear or aggression, and follow the safety notes in each lesson. You train your dog at your own risk and you stay responsible for your dog and for the people and animals around it.
Community versions
You can share your own version of a lesson. When you share one:
- it is public to other SitRep users, under the name you chose;
- you give us a free, non-exclusive licence to show, store, translate and lightly edit it in SitRep for as long as it stays shared. You keep your rights to it;
- you confirm it is your own work, or that you may share it.
Do not share anything that is illegal, hurts dogs (for example methods built on pain, fear or intimidation), harasses people, is advertising or spam, or contains someone else's personal data.
Reports and moderation
Anyone can report content they believe is illegal or breaks these rules, also without an account, by emailing robinjooris@hotmail.com with a link to it and the reason.
We review reports by hand. We may hide content or close an account that breaks these terms. When we hide something you shared, we tell you what we hid and why, and you can reply to ask us to look again.
Premium and family plans
Some features need a paid subscription. Prices, what is included and how to cancel are shown before you pay. You can cancel any time; the subscription then runs until the end of the period you paid for. Your legal rights as a consumer stay in place. During the alpha everything is free.
Test versions
Alpha and beta versions can change, break or lose data. We try hard to avoid that, but please do not rely on them as your only record.
Ending your account
You can delete your data any time in the app (see the privacy policy). We may end the service with reasonable notice, and will let you download your data first.
Liability
We provide SitRep with care, but as is. We are not liable for indirect damage or for harm caused by how you train or handle your dog, to the extent Belgian law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Law and disputes
Belgian law applies. If we cannot solve a problem together, the courts of your place of residence or of our registered office have jurisdiction, as consumer law allows.
Changes
When we change these terms we update the version and date above and tell you in the app before a change that affects you takes effect.
